Two glaciers take up a large part of the tour. First, at Langjökull glacier, wander the interior of a man-made ice cave to discover what has, until now been a mystery to many. Then, take a day to marvel at Snæfellsjökull glacier, a source of folkloric power that has inspired writers both local and foreign.
Itinerary
Day 1
The day starts with private airport pickup and direct transfer to Hótel Húsafell in Borgarfjörður, West Iceland. You’ll see Hraunfossar and Barnafossar waterfalls on your way, plus stop by the steaming Deildartunguhver hot spring.
Day 2
This second day is dedicated to the first glacier on your trip! The man-made ice cave in Langjökull revealsthe heart of the glacier. You even get the opportunity to stand inside a glacier crevasse! Then it’s a ride through the picturesque Snæfellsnes Peninsula Next, to the powerful Snæfellsjökull glacier.
Day 3
The Snæfellsnes peninsula has many breathtaking scenes and under the glacier you get to explore the cute little villages along the coast of the peninsula. On the schedule is also a stop at the Vatnshellir lava cave.
Day 4
On your way back to the airport, we stop at the Blue Lagoon Retreat Spa for some relaxing time in its geothermal waters.
